This song is a bit of a departure from my norm. I'm not usually a big fan of writing turn up songs, but I had been watching My Hero Academia with my partner Blake, and I fucking loved the scene where Bakugo shows up to the games and is like “Uhh yeah, I'm gonna win.” Lol, and with that I was off to the races.

I wrote, recorded, and composed the whole first draft within an hour, super fast in terms of how much time I usually need.

I composed everything and asked my drummer friend Andrew Scott for his thoughts. Andrew is a fucking genius, and wrote drums for the entire track. Seriously elevated the song to new heights.

Special thanks as well to Jack Davenport of Owl Shed studios. Because he fucking tracked some guitars for me to make the song cooler and then wrote the bass for the song

Insert Black Cat Bill from Dropout Kings. Once I heard their music, I knew. No way I could pass up asking them to feature on this song. They are pioneering trap metal-- doing shit with their music at the next level and beyond.

During the mixing stages I realized I needed some heavier bass. Skyler Acord, who plays bass in the nu-metal band Issues and with Twenty One Pilots, saved the day and laid down the bass track. He fucking knocked it out of the park.

This is fun song that I hope people can bop to when they are having a tough mental health day or if they just want to pump themselves up. No matter what, we all are gonna win (:
